Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Embark (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated by [OPERATING ENTITY AND ABN], handles your personal information. Embark is a training log: you record your sessions, exercises and sets, and ask questions of your own history.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us and that we need to deliver our services, including:

Body measurements are health information, which the law treats as sensitive. We collect them only when you choose to log them, and by logging them you consent to us holding them to provide Embark to you.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

AI assistants

You can connect an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to Embark with a token you create. You choose whether the token lets the assistant only read your training records or also log them, and you can revoke it at any time.

Information an assistant reads from Embark is sent to the company that provides it, and its handling is then governed by that company’s own terms and privacy policy. We do not share your information with an assistant you have not connected.

Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary to run our business, including with trusted service providers who help us operate our website and deliver our services, such as cloud hosting and infrastructure, and email delivery.

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google learns that you use Embark each time you do, and its handling of that is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

We may also disclose your information where required or authorised by law.

Cookies

Embark uses a cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though you will not be able to stay signed in if you do.

Storage and security of your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Your information is stored on secure, reputable cloud infrastructure.

Because we rely on global cloud providers, your personal information may be stored on, or accessed from, servers located outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected wherever it is held.

Retention

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it to provide our services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

You can delete a workspace you own, and the training records in it, at any time from its settings.

Accessing and correcting your information

You have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

Children’s privacy

Embark is intended for people aged [MINIMUM AGE] and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age, and if you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the “last updated” date shown above reflecting the most recent change.
